Giosué Carducci’s town
Bolgheri is an ancient village built around a medieval castle on a rise. It is reachable by the striking and enchanting “Viale dei Cipressi”, a road nearly 4 kilometres long surrounded by immense cypresses. This little town has been made famous by Giosué Carducci’s lines in the poem “Davanti a San Guido”.
The sunny, dry and ventilated microclimate and the particular ground favour the vineyards in particular. In fact, in Bolgheri, beyond historical-landscape attractions, you will also fall in love with a mixture of colours, tastes and smells. The famous Italian Bordeaux grape red wines, the French Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and the Petit Verdot are produced here in Bolgheri.
